A New Chapter
Construction Distribution gets a new look, a new editorial focus and a new editor.

Rebecca Wasieleski

Construction Distribution will continue to serve as a product, equipment and business management resource for construction distribution outlets, but with this new chapter you will see a new look and a new editorial focus.

We've gone back to the tabloid size publication our readers love. Our front cover will let you know what product sections we're covering in each issue, while the back cover offers an industry calendar you can use as a quick resource to learn about industry shows and events.

As you flip through the pages of the magazine you'll see a greater emphasis on products, with an extensive New Products section in the front of each issue. The Jobsite Solutions feature will recap a situation where a distributor helped a contractor save money and/or time on the jobsite by introducing him to a new product or piece of equipment.

We'll also offer equipment articles that take an in-depth look at different types of products and review ways these products and equipment can be used to strengthen your relationships with your customers. And each issue will offer articles with a business management perspective with new ideas for strengthening your business.

The genesis of these changes were brought about through conversations between the Construction Distribution team and our subscribers. Our readers have told us of the importance of products in the distribution chain and how products help them build their companies as resources for the construction industry.

We're very interested in hearing your thoughts and comments about the new look and focus of the magazine. The Construction Distribution team will be at the 33rd Annual STAFDA Convention & Trade Show in Atlanta Nov. 8-10. Stop by our booth to check out our new online product resource -- the Product Line Directory --and a chance to win an iPod touch.

While you're at our booth, I invite you to introduce yourself to me, Editorial Director Greg Udelhofen, Publisher Nancy Terrill or any of the Cygnus sales staff. Tell us what you think of the new look and focus of the magazine and let us know the stories and products you'd like to see in the magazine.

Now turn the page and start enjoying this new chapter for the magazine!
