"With about 3,500 manufacturers who will be seeking new and additional selling opportunities, our goal is to bring similar buying opportunities to our retail and wholesale customers," says Rob Cappiello, industry vice president, National Hardware Show. "The move to Orlando makes it easier for retailers from the East Coast to come to the show, make productive use of their time away from their stores, and source new products."
With hundreds of thousands of new products on display this year, from virtually every product category, preregistration retailer numbers from the East Coast are up. Based on current preregistration numbers to date, retailer registration all across the Eastern seaboard has increased significantly from last year's numbers.
Here is the breakdown:
- Southeast +151%
- Mid-Atlantic +42%
- New England +32%
According to Cappiello, the preregistration data indicates a broader representation of retailers expected to attend.
