Milwaukee introduces new 12-amp SAWZALL Recip Saws, available in 1 1/8- and 3/4-in. stroke length. The new models cut up to two times faster and last up to two times longer than previous models. Other improvements include a gear protecting clutch, the Quik-Lok blade clamp for tool-free blade changes, a vibration reduction system and a redesigned front grip area. Each unit weighs 7.3 lbs. and is 19 in. long.

Snap-Rite connectors from Halex are snap-in connectors designed for connecting aluminum and steel cable (MC) and (AC) to metal outlet boxes and electrical enclosures. Simpson Strong-Tie launched a new series of structural wood screws for fastening multi-ply truss and engineered-wood assemblies -- the Strong-Drive SDW screws. The bold thread design of the SDW allows installers to fasten 2, 3 and 4-ply trusses or 1 ¾-in. engineered lumber from one side. Streamlight introduced the Waypoint, a handheld, pistol-grip searchlight. The unit uses a C4 power LED to provide a light output of 210 lumens. The housing is made from high-impact polycarbonate and includes a stand for stationary scene lighting. Three lighting settings include high, low and strobe modes. Four C alkaline batters deliver 8.5 hours of runtime on the high setting and 120 hours on low and strobe settings. Waypoint can also run on a 12-volt CD power cord.
