The 2010 International Builders Show (IBS) was held January 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Approximately 55,000 builders, remodelers and other members of the home building industry visited with the more than 1,100 exhibitors at this year’s event. Reports from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), organizer of IBS, call the mood at the show "cautious optimism." The NAHB provided a Partnership Pavilion, an initiative designed to match builders with financing sources. Other hot topics at the show included design trends, energy retrofitting and the new EPA lead dust containment requirements. IBS 2011 will be held January 12-15 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
