CHICAGO, IL — More than 800 exhibitors are expected to show the latest and greatest in safety equipment and techniques to approximately 15,000 industry professionals at this year’s 95th annual gathering of the National Safety Council.
Chicago’s spacious McCormick Place will host the event Oct. 15-17.
In the Congress portion of the event, there will be 140 technical sessions accompanying 32 one- to five-day professional development seminars where professionals can earn continuing education credits.
The technical sessions, ranging from broad-based to industry-specific topics, will be held daily beginning Monday, Oct. 15. Professional development seminars will also run prior to and after the three-day event.
Technical tracks include:
- Emerging issues in HR and security
- Management and leadership
- Operational, technical and regulatory issues, including advances in ergonomics
- Cultural and behavioral concerns
- Training
- The latest research developments
- Construction, labor and utilties applications
- Transportation and traffic safety
The Expo floor
Attendees will be able to interact with 830 exhibitors as they explore the trade show floor to view individual exhibits as well as the New Products Showcase section. This year’s Expo promises to reveal new pavillions and a variety of live product demonstrations.
Known as a great place to network with industry peers while meeting new people from throughout the United States and the world, a theme of this year’s event emphasizes an attendee’s ability to get more from the various opportunities. “Elevate your success” is the charge left with those heading for the annual gathering. “Make the most of the ideas, insights and opportunities of the Congress and Expo.”
