Smart Products

With nearly 40 years of history in the evolution from Electric Fasteners Company to ELFCO, the line card has changed and the kinds of products that have stepped up to become leaders - both in volume and revenue - have changed as well. Today's "smart products" represent the diversity in the line as well as the changing Chicagoland marketplace that ELFCO serves in the 21st century. "In many cases, it's not a single product, it's an entire line," points out Mike Gleason. "And, much of our success with these lines can be traced directly to a strong working relationship with a series of very good reps. I can't emphasize enough how important a good field rep is when it comes to merchandising, product support and customer service. We rely on our reps for a lot of help and they, in turn, have come through for us in many, many ways."

We order two standard lengths and then custom-cut for our customers as a value-added service. We've worked with this supplier on several special orders that have proven very successful for both of us."

"With something like fasteners, it's important to have a line that includes a wide variety because customers like to get as much as they can from one source. This line has proven to be very efficient in providing an array of products. Most recently, the Vetigo anchors have really taken off for us."
